Information about the YAHCS
The Young Adult Health Care Survey (YAHCS) is a 54-item teen survey that assesses whether young adults (aged 14 and older) are receiving nationally-recommended preventive services.  The YAHCS can be administered by mail or phone. To date, over 3,000 YAHCS surveys have been collected and analyzed.

Five health plans, four in California and one in New York, have used the YACHS as part of their quality improvement projects.  The states of California, Florida, New York, and Washington have used the YACHS as part of its Medicaid/SCHIP quality assessment and improvement efforts.
