Preventive Services for Young Children - PHDS Implementation by Telephone
PHDS Implementation by Telephone
A version of the PHDS was created for administration by telephone. This version is called the Promoting Healthy Development Survey-PLUS (PHDS-PLUS).   The PHDS-PLUS also contains additional items about the child's health, health care utilization, parent's health, and other sociodemographic characteristics. To date, the PHDS-PLUS has been used primarily by state Medicaid agencies (N=11). Additionally, over eighty percent of the items focused on quality of care in the National Survey of Early Childhood Health (NSECH) are derived from the PHDS-PLUS.
