PHDS Implementation in Primary Care Offices
The PHDS has also been validated for provider- and office-level assessment. In addition, the reduced-item version of the PHDS (called the ProPHDS) has been shown to be feasible to administer in provider offices.  To date, over 38 primary care practices have used the PHDS to assess the quality of the care they provide to young children.  It is endorsed by the National Quality Forum for office- and health care provider-level measurement of patients' experiences with recommended preventive care.
